Merikay’s educational background includes: B.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill, Master Degree of Science from NC A&T State University in human resource counseling. She is former multi-course certified instructor for Dale Carnegie Training and recipient of the National Spotlight on Speaking Award with the Speakers Consultant Network. She’s a proud mom to Melinda, a school teacher in Tennessee, Harrison, print production specialist in North Carolina, and Emma Freda, a freshman at Cape Fear
